Altered TCG Expeditions

Jump into Altered organised play with our regular structured events. 

These events will be held every other week.

Players will need a constructed Standard Format deck consisting of 39 cards, plus a Hero. All cards must match the faction of your hero. You may have a maximum of 3 cards with the same name (regardless of rarity), a maximum of 15 rares and a maximum of 3 Unique cards.

From 6pm-7pm - Trade cards (check if they’re scanned first!), play some casual games, maybe test out the multiplayer formats.

From 7pm - This will be a structured tournament, made up of up to 4x 30 min, best of one rounds, with SWISS pairings. The first few events will see this time structure adhered to loosely, as everyone gets to grips with the game!

Please note: all players MUST have an altered.gg account to take part in the event. Players will be registered (or can preregister using the event finder on the Altered website) for the event, and upon its conclusion will earn a level on their Adventure Pass. FNM Draft - Tarkir: Dragonstorm

Friday Night Casual draft - come crack some packs and have some fun. This is a casual event suitable for all players.

Entry: £18.50

Registration ends: 18:20pm

Event starts: 18:30pm

You will be given 3 Play Boosters from Tarkir: Dragonstorm with which you will have 45 minutes to draft & deckbuild in your pods. Use this time to build a minimum 40 card deck, we have lands available should you need them, though, we do recommend bringing sleeves with you - these can also be purchased from the shop at the front before 7pm.

This will be followed by 3x 45 minute, best of 3, swiss rounds.

Star Wars Unlimited - Planetary Qualifier - Jump to Lightspeed

We are so excited to share that we are hosting a Planetary Qualifier for Star Wars Unlimited!

Strap in, punch in those hyperspace coordinates and get ready to play an event like no other.

The Planetary Qualifier is the gateway to Competitive Tier Organised Play and is open for players of all skill levels to take part. 

Do you have what it takes to blast your way to the Galactic Championships?

This event will have a capacity of 72 players and will be run using best of 3 SWISS rounds. 

Timings:

Registration will begin from 9:30am, with the players meeting due to begin at 10:15am and the first round to start at 10:30am. Rounds will be 55 minutes long with a 5 minute break between rounds, and will be best of 3. 

• 8 players - 3 swiss rounds, no top cut

• 9-16 players - 4 swiss rounds, top 4 cut

• 17-32 players - 5 swiss rounds, top 4 cut

• 33-64 players - 6 swiss rounds, top 8 cut

• 65-72 players - 7 swiss rounds, top 8 cut

ID & Decklists:

This event requires all participants to have a Star Wars Unlimited account ID and a Melee.gg account to participate in this event. Please ensure you have both your melee.gg username and email address to hand when registering on the day of the event. 

Decks will follow premier constructions, with exactly 1 leader, 1 base and a minimum of 50 other cards, no single card may exceed 3 copies across both your deck and sideboard. Banned/Restricted cards are to be adhered to. You may also bring a sideboard, not exceeding 10 cards. TWO identical printed Decklists are required for this event and should include your first and last name, UID number, Leader, Base, Draw deck and sideboard composition. Please note you are required to list both a cards main title and its subtitle/set code and number. Example: "R2-D2 - Ignoring Protocol" OR "R2D2 (SOR236)". Blank decklists can be found here.

We will be following all official comprehensive rules, including card suspensions/bans. Opaque-backed, unmarked card sleeves are mandatory for all competitive events.​

Food & Drink:

Food and/or refreshments NOT purchased onsite are NOT permitted at this event, with the exception of water bottles. We have an onsite cafe, which provides a range of food and drink available for purchase on the day, including vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. Hot food only may be bought on site, but requires a surcharge to be paid at the bar to do so. Anyone found to be bringing outside food and drink into the event may be asked to leave. 

Buying & Selling Cards:

We are a Star Wars Unlimited Singles retailer! Cards are available to sell to us for store credit or cash, and purchase from us both onsite and on our website, www.dicesaloonsingles.co.uk. We ask that large orders for singles are placed online prior to the event as we cannot guarantee those orders will be fulfilled in time on the day of the event. If you wish to sell singles you will be required to submit a buylist for the singles online and await its approval. When dropping off your buylist, depending on the size of the list, this may take some time to be finalized and for payment to be made. 

We do not otherwise allow the selling or purchase of singles or product in store.

Waiting List:

In the event that tickets for our Planetary Qualifier sell out, you may join the wait list. To do so you must email ALL of the following information to us - Full name, address, email address, and contact phone number, with the subject line SWU Planetary Qualifier Wait List. If all the above details are not included in your email, you will NOT be added to the wait list. 

Those on the list will be contacted in order they have submitted their details when/if spaces become available, up to and including the morning of the event.

Please do not contact us multiple times enquiring for updates regarding the wait list, we will not be able to provide this information.

Personal Belongings & Spectators:

We have limited space for this event. Please do not bring excess personal belongings, we do not have any storage facilities. There will not be space available for spectators at this event. 

Refund Policy:

If you need to cancel your ticket then a full refund will be given if we are notified 7 days before the start of the event.

If less than 7 days, the cost of your ticket will only be refunded if we are able to re-sell your ticket.

Tickets are non transferable. Please do not purchase your tickets from someone else. We have had issues of people selling fake tickets for our popular events.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: Destined Rivals Prerelease (Morning)

Please note this product is an event ticket for in store play, and will not be posted out. Only those who play through the whole event will receive packs.
Please only purchase a ticket if you are going to be taking part in the event - product will not be provided in lieu of participation.

This is a ticket for the 11AM event ONLY. Tickets for the afternoon event can NOT be used for this event and vice versa.  

IMPORTANT INFO - PLEASE READ:
To partake in this event you will be required to have a Pokemon Player ID setup BEFORE the event start time. Please make sure this is set up in advance to enable participation. If you do not have one, please contact us by emailing admin@dicesaloonsingles.com to assign you an ID number, you will then need to finish creating the account via www.pokemon.com with a PIN provided by us with your Player ID.
For PARENTS - Children require parental consent to create one of these accounts, you will need to review and set it up for them to access an ID!
If you do not have an ID and account set up prior to the event start time you will NOT be able to take part. If you have already got an ID with us, and provided us with this confirmation you do not need to do so again. Any questions, please let us know.

Celebrate the release of the newest Pokémon expansion and be the first to get your hands on the new cards with our in-store prerelease event! Each entry includes the Build & Battle prerelease kit and each player receives three bonus booster packs at the end of the event.

This event is limited to 16 players.

Build your deck of 40 cards from the cards in your Build & Battle kit. Then battle it out in 5 rounds. Each round lasts for 30 mins and is best of one.

Commander Party 2 - Tarkir: Dragonstorm

Welcome to Commander Party, themed around Tarkir: Dragonstorm.

This event has a strict capacity of 16 players.

Players are required to have a Commander either from the Tarkir: Dragonstorm MTG set OR have a deck/commander consisting of exactly 3 colours, or themed around Dragons! Tarkir: Dragonstorm PreCons are welcome - upgraded or out of the box, but feel free to build a Tarkir: Dragonstorm commander deck if you don't already have one, or change out a same-coloured Commander for a deck you already have!

Once all players have arrived, you will be spoken through the unique rules for the Party game, and thus will begin your adventure on Tarkir. Will you unite as one with the spirits of the Clans?

Once the game is complete, everyone will receive a Tarkir: Dragonstorm Play Booster plus a Commander Party promo card.

Players are welcome to stay and switch pods, play more games afterwards until we close, using the Commander Party rules, or just play some regular Commander!
